Is Pluto a Planet?

Yes
No

It doesn't matter what you think, it's simply the definition of a word. The problem with including pluto in this definition is that we'd have hundreds of loving planets and that would be incredibly handicapped.

i like how people who think pluto should be a planet completely forget Ceres, Haumea, Makemake, Eris, and Sedna.

From Wikipedia:
"A planet is a celestial body orbiting a star or stellar remnant that is massive enough to be rounded by its own gravity, is not massive enough to cause thermonuclear fusion, and has cleared its neighbouring region of planetesimals."

Planetesimals:
"Planetesimals are solid objects thought to exist in protoplanetary disks and in debris disks"

Pluto is infact a planet. But this planet, however, is unusual. It's a dwarf planet. It's orbit is extremely elongated and odd. One effect of it's elongated orbit is being the eighth planet. As it orbits down the long side of the orbit, it bypasses Neptune and interferes with Neptune's orbit.
Pluto then goes inside of Neptune's orbit and becomes the eighth planet.

At the top of the picture, you can see how Pluto's orbit interferes into Neptune's orbit.

Pluto takes 248 years to orbit the Sun.

Fun fact: Pluto was named after that dog.

And Pluto is a dwarf planet.

Are you telling me that Disney invented "Pluto" first?

Pluto isn't a planet, imo because one of its moons is larger than it.
No, none of them are. Where the hell do you get your information? Almost all of it seems wrong.

Are you telling me that Disney invented "Pluto" first?
disney is the most uncreative stuff i've ever seen
of course they didn't.

The dog had nothing to do with the planet.

I only said he was wrong.

Pluto is a planet. It's just pretending not to be so that all it's inhabitants will be safe from the humans who want to destroy them. :c

it's not a planet.
it's a planetoid.
