Is Pluto a Planet?

Yes
No

Author Topic: Back in MY day, we had 9 Planets!  (Read 12299 times)

This is stupid.

I believe Pluto is a planet.

And that's it.

and it's a fact that it is not a planet

and that's it.

Pluto is a ball! A really big googly ball!

Pluto is a ball! A really big googly ball!

It's a dwarf ball according to other balls. :>

Maybe people declassified Pluto to declassify everything else so there wouldn't be a huge clusterf*ck of planets.

Do you know what makes a planet a planet? Read it up, think about it, look at Pluto, feel bad.

Okay.
I'm going to be srs TopHat.

Pluto is almost the size of our moon, and our moon is 1/3 the size of our Earth.
Did you read that?
The Moon is 1/3, I repeat/ 1loving/3 the size of Earth.

and another thing:
Quote from: http://www.universetoday.com/39565/how-big-is-pluto/
Pluto used to be the smallest planet in the Solar System, but now it isn’t a planet any more, thanks to a recent decision from the International Astronomical Union. But now it’s one of the largest dwarf planets, so that’s a good thing. How big is Pluto?

The diameter of Pluto is only 2,390 km across. Just for comparison, that’s about 70% the diameter of the Moon. And it’s a fraction of the size of the Earth; about 18% of the Earth‘s diameter.

In terms of volume, Pluto only has 6.39 x 109 km3. That sounds like a huge number, but it’s only 0.59% of the volume of the Earth. In other words, you could put almost 170 objects the size of Pluto inside the Earth.

The mass of Pluto is 1.3 x 1022 kg, which is only 0.2% the mass of the Earth, or 18% the mass of the Moon. Needless to say, Pluto doesn’t have very much mass at all.

The surface area of Pluto is 1.67 x 107 square kilometers. That’s only 3.3% the surface area of Earth, and about the same surface area as Russia.

If you could stand on the surface of Pluto, you would experience only 6.7% the gravity you enjoy on Earth.
this is plenty enough evidence that your opinion is dead wrong and that SCIENTIFIC FACT OVERRULES YOUR INVALID OPINION.

Do you get it?
Let me restate it.
PLUTO IS NOT A PLANET, THAT IS FACT

YOUR OPINION DOESN'T OVERRIDE FACT

If you still don't get it:
Here's a size comparison from Universe Today between Pluto and Earth.

(orange ball is pluto)
Notice how small it is?
This is proof enough to call it a DWARF PLANET.
DWARF PLANET.
DWARF
PLANET
forgetER.

I think Pluto is a planet, regardless of what everyone else thinks.

Yeah yeah, "YOU'RE WRONG" "SHUT UP" "GET OUT" "LOLOLOLO NUB LOLOLOLO"
-epicsnip-
Basically...it's not a planet because it's...small.

Okay.

You want to make me feel bad?

Okay.

I'll go to my room and cry myself a river because I made an opinion about something, and it's not the same as someone else's opinion.

holy stuff you're dumber than a rock.
IT'S NOT OUR OPINION.
IT'S SCIENTIFIC FACT.

SCIENTIFIC FACT.

I'll go to my room and cry myself a river because I made an opinion about something, and it's not the same as someone else's opinion.
That's still not the point. The point is also not to make you feel bad. The point is that you can't have an opinion about this. You can't, you just can't
It's not questionable, it's not. NOT.

Facts are opinion-free zones.

Close, but it is a dwarf planet due to the many other similar sized planets being found, so, to prevent there being like 11 or 12 planets, they put them in a group called "dwarf planets".

Edit: My personal opinion is that it is a planet.

Pluto has feelings too! :cc

Alright, I'm asking for your honest opinion, not what science defines.

Is Pluto a Planet?

And just because I know it is somehow inevitable, no flaming other people for their thoughts.
