Rome fell because it's governmental system was designed for a small city state. It led to corruption and little control over territories far from the homeland.
The Third Reich was mindless sheep being led by a dictator promising a better life. They German people are not to blame for following a man who mentally changed a nation in its lowest point. The world was too hard on Germany after WWI, and that caused the hatred that Riddler directed at a scapegoat, the Jews.
The Aztec's were handicapped. Simple as that.
Britain is a great country, but I have a feeling that in our lifetime America will go to war with China and Southeastern Asian countries, and Europe will be too poor to offer any real help.
