How to get iPhone out of recovery mode?

I downgraded to 3.1.2 because iOS 4 was stuff.

I have a 3Gs.

I restoed it with the 3.1.2 and it is stuck at the connect to itunes screen

maybe you should connect it to itunes and do what itunes says

well every time i've restored an iPod you just connect it to itunes and it's just like setting it up for the first time, nothing different
never restored my iphone however. but i assume it would be the same. maybe try restarting comp/iphone/itunes if you havent

you've tried restarting itunes too right? and your computer? while your phone is disconnected? honestly i don't see how you could mess this up it's pretty simple
