Author Topic: Relaying Kit (Concept)  (Read 1257 times)

The basic design of this helps designing relays faster and possibly more efficient.
It would allow the copy and pasting of different relays based on where you would want it to go.

The design is pretty simple and make it easier to place links where they are needed. Here is a image basically explains what i'm talking about.

Basic explanation :
The F print fires the way the print is facing
The L print fires where the ends face in 2 directions.
The T print fires where the ends face in 3 directions.
The U print fires up
The D print fires down.
The C print is a manual event brick.

When applied you may have a raw skeleton like this. You can apply it into the walls to make the relays seamless into the build

Extremely useless, and awfully easy.

Tom

Extremely useless, and awfully easy.
Says the person who made at least 3 pixel computers.

Says the person who made at least 3 pixel computers.

If they were so easy, why did nobody else make a decent one. :P
Anyway pixel computers were more of a "look at me, I can spend ages making a tedious build with no reward" not a few bricks with relays. Pixel computers are hard work, this is 10 second trash.

This would be a toolkit for building a relay system for a build.Yes it is a 10 second job,but its meant to be a toolkit for copying pieces needed to link relays.Apparently people don't get the concept of copy and pasting to save time. This is basically a concept to show a advantage of the duplicator

EDIT : I updated it to show what i'm getting at.

Heres the trouble:

- 1x1s are spammy, its much easier to use longer bricks and much faster
- Duplicating a brick is no harder than making the one-liner events yourself and using the copy function, or setting them as event favorites
- Its probably faster and much less spammier to just use brickname
- If you wanted to make a decent "wire" relay system, you'd need more knowledge than just this dupey crap

Looks like you saw CCAs logic gates and got inspired but then failed. Maybe I sound harsh, but this is not useful or impressive, or even hard or tedious to make. Its not even an intelligent or imaginative design. Its not a concept, relays were designed for this. This isn't special at all.

Its not supposed to impressive. Its basic showing a dynamic concept for relaying directions. If you didn't know you can duplicate a brick and rotate it and the relay events would change to correspond to that direction.I'll look at the topic in a minute.

Bro bro bro.
Hold up there.

We appreciate your effort, but please lock the topic. this is absolutely pointless if you have brickname.

It's not gallery worthy, but not as useless as Sheath says. Just use it on your own server, but you don't need to draw attention to it because it's not that novel of an idea.
