Author Topic: Steam cartoon charactors wallpaper  (Read 3723 times)

Hey so today steam is having a lot of sales and if you didn't notice they have this at the top

I then thought to myself.. What if I use my awesome paint.net skills to do some simple editing to turn this into a wallpaper here is the final result
the yellow guys head is not perfect cause I had to do it by hand but I still like it, also using a different edit as my new steam avatar :D

is your monitor really that tiny.

Nope... but to get around the fact that the original image was so small I had to make it 800x600 then set the image to be centered on the desktop instead of stretched and set the boarder color to match it as white - to avoid pixels everywhere of course

running this clean and clear on a res of 1280x1024

sorry bro
but looks like stuff

by "awesome paint.net skills" he meant "crappy crap crapity crap paint.net skills"

Why did you save it as a JPG?

Mostly backrounds would be cool crap. This is pretty boring. Needs more Shibam and needs to be bigger.

the black one shouldnt be with the rest btw, hes like the badguy or whatever

nemesis, but this is a group shot

There's aliasing on the edges of the characters. go over the edges with a brush with a low pixel size and low hardness and smooth them out; it looks like stuff.

also jpegs are bad for backgrounds mkay

Does anybody even like those steam characters?

when did they have the green, purple, and brown guy :o

I never said you had to use it or like it, it's something for my own personal use

Will do, though I don't see why everyone in the graphics community dislike jpegs, for the most part they are easier to come back and edit
even if png supports more colors
