Author Topic: New duel core processor?  (Read 553 times)

Sup guys, I was thinking if i should get a duel core processor for gaming and i need to know if it makes a big difference frame rate wise.
At the moment, 1.81 Ghz for a AMD Sempron{tm} processor.

1024 by 768 Resolution runs fine on games like TF2 but for some games like Minecraft it goes quite slow :o

So yeah, new processor? and can you estimate the improvement on FPS?

Do you have a laptop or desktop?
What are other specs of your PC?
What model is your motherboard?

You can duel with swords
and you can own dual swords.

You can't duel with processors
but you can own dual processors.

you can get quad for like 150 bucks.
i wouldn't ever recommend dual if your upgrading.

As Bisjac said, if you're upgarding don't get a dual.

Get a Qaud. I guess it really depends on your price range though.

you can get quad for like 150 bucks.
So about 95 pounds, now i need to find out if my other software can accept a quad core.
Do you guys think that a MSI K9N6PGM-F (MS-7309) Motherboard would accept a quad core?

It depends on the socket type.

What socket? Ok, searched it. It's an AM2 socket so you'll only be able to have an AMD type processor.
