Author Topic: Anyone know of a non-virus infested .flv converter?  (Read 1737 times)

I've got a lot of .flv videos, and I'd like to convert them to a format that Sony Vegas will accept.

Problem is, all of the converters I've found on Google are all shady and filled with viruses.

All it needs to be able to do is keep the original size and export as .mp4/.avi/.mov/.wmv

On Linux, you can convert this stuff using ffmpeg, but I doubt you have a Linux-running computer available, so I don't know.

No, silly. That converts file types of:
Archives (Ex. Zip --> Rar)
Video types (Ex. Flv --> Avi)
Images ( Jpeg --> Png)
Documents ( Doc --> ??? :P )
And more! (?)

=D!

No, you don't understand. My video is some weird resolution that's close to 720p, but the converter brnigs it down to 480p since it's not quite 720p. I want the video to be kept at the same resolution that it was before I converted it.

ohohoho you're so cool because you use lmgtfy

I wouldn't goddamn be here if I found something good on Google. All the websites on there are shady sites that have viruses :|

Second result has a safe rating. No viruses. :o

SUPER ©

That's what I was about to suggest.

And not to sound like a giant tool, but why don't you ask on a forum that does this kind of thing regularly? I'm sure they'd be a lot more helpful than we would.

I did. I decided to ask here to look over some suggestions until the people on the other forum respond.

Ok then. Have you checked out Super yet?
