Okay so far from reading, OP has a well put point that Night Fox still is a richard. There wasn't much "OMGFURRYBAN" stuff going on, just people putting their points. Then Squideey explodes through a loving wall and blurts out "YOU ALL HATE HIM BECAUSE HE'S FURRY BRO", and now the thread turned into a stuffstorm of people arguing over furrys.
