this happened with films as well.

everyone hated it. said they were spreading ungodliness and stuff.
well give them another 50 years and they become more of an accepted artform. and people will "find" ways to make it good.
just as they "found" ways to say they were bad.

video games are more accepted now because of the giant industry they are. but its still the same bullstuff of bandwagoning at the last second when everyone else around you thinks your crazy.
