I'm downgrading my Windows 7 to Windows XP. Is that a good idea?
I really don't like the look and performance of Windows 7, but there might be something I don't know that may be very useful in Windows 7.. so, please tell me what do you think.

Bad idea. It'd be a good idea if you were on Vista to downgrade, but Windows 7 is better than XP. I'm sure you could change the visuals of 7, but the OS performs better than XP, and is a lot more stable.

The only thing is most games aren't made for XP any more.

Upgrade to Windows 8. It'll have cupholders.

I still use XP and it's fine but i do think 7 is better
