Author Topic: Things I hate during Christmas.  (Read 1683 times)

Presents are a luxury to Christmas.
The actual holiday is to celebrate the birth of Christ, which is ironic considering all the atheists here bark their stuff whenever someone mentions Christianity, but still get a million dollars worth of presents from their lenient parents.
ACTUALLY
its to celebrate the birth of the sun god; satyr.
but you silly people dont know that

You mean the birth of Santa Claus right?

For me, christmas is a holiday for the family and just the family. We (my family) don't celebrate the birth of anyone but the day where we all can sit together and eat together, talk together, share the love towards our family member and just be together for at least once in the year.
I give a /care about presents. So does anyone else in my family, but we still gift random presents among our family. It's like a tradition.

Shouldn't family do that everyday? :/

Shouldn't family do that everyday? :/
Because it's possible.
I have a big family and we surely don't live in one house or even close. My grandparents live two hours away from me and the rest of my relatives even 4 -6 hours.

We all have a job and we all have to work hard everyday. The only free day that my dad and I have is the sunday, and we need that day to recover from the past days and get ready for the future days.

Even though we have holidays, we don't have it on the same days/weeks/month. The only day that the whole family can spend together is christmas.

Well my grandparents live in Bangladesh. I live in England. So no family time what so ever because my dad's at work and my brothers are unsocial.

I always get socks, but those have different uses  :cookieMonster:

ACTUALLY
it's just celebrating the winter solstice.
people just slap their religion on it.

Pengie=Stinky spoiled kid. Keep the soap, your attitude stinks.
Rughugger=Lucky to get more than $20 from a family of 8 this year.

Who has better reason to complain? Neither. My family is awesome and although they can't afford much, they have saved my ass more times than I can count. That is more than I could ever hope for from my family, to just be there to support me when I am in need.

I always get a stuff-ton of good stuff.

I get cool stuff

I happen to break them.

So they are proven stuffty afterwards

The actual holiday is to celebrate the birth of Christ
Yeah, and Halloween is about honoring the deceased.

Christmas=Family and presents.

I don't usually get anything besides clothes and coats. ;_;
