Author Topic: Kinect Cant See Black People?  (Read 1350 times)

So, a friend of mine said that the Kinect would not recognize her Black Friend. Is this true? MetalBL is being an ignorant bastard and wont believe me, so I want to prove him wrong

I heard about this too. It's like that one webcam program that if your eyes or slanted, or your Asian, it puts a Chinese hat on you and plays a gong. Racism is always fun!

I googled it and apparently it's the "lighting"

MetalBL is being an ignorant bastard
no way

You should have a look at this article. Quite interesting.

This would not have happened if African-Americans were not such an extreme minority in the computer development industry.

in the mean time, a high amount of lighting can fix this issue

That's discrimination against the white man.

oh and i thought i was the only one who noticed this
i have a black friend here in rochester
we played kinect for a few hours, and every time he tried to play the game would misread all his movements and cause him to lose/die/fail.
whenever i played, i did fine.

This is why, my friends, Kinect needs a FLIR sensor+10,000 cost

Move is better than wii

Im black <--- ( Im actually White, Black, Native ) and I use kinnect, no problems. Maybe because my skin isn't super dark =o My skin is kind of like a light brown color.

Kinnect is not tribal because my friend is as black as charco and plays it. I hate when people start rumors.
