Author Topic: How to make your own AI?  (Read 2424 times)

Such as Cleverbot I heard it would be like recreating the human brain what would be the tools needed to do this as i have way to much loving free time?

Well obviously you have no idea about computers so...

To begin with you need to learn how to program which can take years of practice just to learn the one of many coding languages.

Also the AI isn't that great. It just stores a database of what people say and uses those common terms as replies and responses.

Yes I know that and I can program. But I really want to know what kind of database I would need im thinking of adding hunks of the websters dictionary in or common words. And then going from there in a database logging everything people say.

If you were to make a starter database I would just type in some common sentences of conversation and have your friends forget around with it until you get a pretty decent database.

Also what coding language do you intend on making this with?

I do not know that yet. But I am thinking of before i start using it getting it to tell me everything it knows in a line and me responding atleast two times to it then adding that in. Making that it has two responses to every word and then i plan on making it use the sentences correctly at appropriate times.

With me small knowledge of coding I am going to assume you use a bunch of If then statements with a default command.

In order for your AI to be even 1% decent compared to others available today you better be a master in algebra and trigonometry, and completely understand logarithmic/digital interfacing architecture. If not making one that truly can respond properly to people is a fail.

Cleverbot's just a context-sensetive series of if- statements, as all unmanned chatbots are. The complexity of context and general language sensetivity turns this series of if- statments into a tree into a gigantic incomprehensible mess. Seriously, it's only really worth it if you're bored/showing off/cutting your teeth on languages/paid.

Hack CleverBots database and figure stuff out!
