I don't think history goes into the bin when deleted.

Yeah, deleting really only covers those files with empty files.

You need a special program to do it though, I believe.

System restore probably.

Doesn't system restore rewrite files to previous states? If not, system restore won't work. I'm assuming that history is a text file of the sort where data is erased from it when history is erased.

Once history is deleted, I believe it can only be restored through a manual process, typically by someone who specializes in the matter.

System restore has nothing to do with the files stored on your computer for the most part, only with it's functioning components. :o
