I think it was because too many people didn't have the attention span to wait for a joke and preferred third rate fart jokes, IE The Cleveland show, another Family Guy, took it's spot. I don't hate Family Guy, I just hate the new episodes. The old ones were gold, and I could watch them all day.

This show is awesome.
I think it's one of the last true sit-coms seeing as how it's not just fart jokes it's actually jokes and amusement derived from the situations the characters get into.
