People with high post counts/thread counts are stuff-posters. The only reason Badspot and I have high post counts is because of all the threads that get auto-created when we move topics. I've been here for just over 5 years and have roughly 9k posts - there are some people who have been here for a year and have triple that. It's quality, not quantity.

What is also funny that people who play less are likely to post more. Ever since I can't play, I'm posting every other day, and that's a lot when I compare it to the early posting manners of mine, when actually there could have been months passed without posting anything.

All in all, to counter post-whoring all you have to do is simply play more.
