Author Topic: Zune on Ubuntu  (Read 1959 times)

Their forums failed me, so I come here :P

If I want to run Zune on Ubuntu, I was thinking about a couple ways.
Will it work on Wine?
Will it work with a VirtualBox?

Help is appreciated.

Download the software and try it yourself

I don't want to lose all my music though. :/

Why would you lose your music? Also, so you want people to lose their music for you?

No, I am asking an Ubuntu user to download Zune and tell me if it works.

Try it yourself. It's not going to hurt anyone.

FWI, I only came because I saw the word Ubuntu. Linux FTW/

So it wouldn't affect my files, and I can revert it back to windows if it doesn't work?

Stop telling him to try it himself, he is asking for someone with previous experience to share their attempt at doing such a thing or to shed light on whether or not it is theoretically possible. Obviously nobody here who posted such a thing has any experience with Linux.

Using WINE is always a little experimental, I'd say its worth a shot and it'll probably work. But you might wanna visit the WineHQ and see if someone has tested it already.

I'm afraid not, Icy.

Or, you know, if someone happens to know it off the top of their head that it does work, that's fine to.

Don't be stupid.

You said it, not me.

Do you really think that I would only be convinced if someone tested it out?
