Author Topic: Everything is too perfect for me.  (Read 1903 times)

My dad has a fruitful job, my siblings are nice and caring, everybody likes me, I live in like the most beautiful spot in all of north-eastern USA and the recession hasn't hit my family almost at all.

But, my cousins are messed up, they're broke and homeless, my grandparents aren't talking to us anymore for some reason and to top it off my uncle and aunt aren't really happy at all.

My whole neighborhood is struggling, and my family may be the only happy family for miles!

Something is going to happen. I just know it.

This Christmas I'm getting a nice amount of presents (not too many since I don't feel like building 1306+ bricks together at once), the bills are being paid off right on time, nobody's depressed or anything...

I just need somebody to explain to me why we're so good off when our other family isn't :(

It's saddening to know this.

That is because your father or mother or both were hardworking, and got themselves into a comfortable position in life.

Your Uncles and aunts did the bare minimum and in turn, did not survive through the recession.

You're only affected by the recession if you never had enough money to begin with anyways.
The banks are the ones stupid enough to trust people like your aunt and uncle.

I don't know much about the american recession though; but this is the reason things are like this in Ireland.
Stupid people doing stupider things for lazier people.

Spend your money on:
-Them
-Barricades , Rockets , pellets , shotguns , any other thing to prevent them for killing you

Move to a town that isn't stuffty

Because your family, as MakingBlah said, is hardworking and got into a good position. Other people relied on the government or inheritance to make them comfortable. But that money runs out eventually.
Merry Christmas, anywho.

I'm only getting 1 thing for Christmas and I couldn't be more happy about it.

You're not perfect, your neighborhood just sucks.  :cookieMonster:

But seriously, be happy that you've got the good life. You're lucky you're not dirt poor like the rest of your community.

Jesus Ike,you just described my family.

Things are generally crap for me and my family but I think this Christmas will be a good one. My student loans are finally coming through so we will be able to pay rent for our really crappy apartment we just moved into in the most awesome location ever, smack-dab center o' Hollywood. This Christmas we wont have to worry too much about food or utilities. Now I don't think we are getting any presents, but if we have enough money left over from my loans, I am going to buy myself Minecraft before beta as my Christmas present to myself. It's awesome.

Also whenever my dad gets a new job I will be able to move out to a different apartment and get my bank account and possibly my car back. I am not too concerned about my car though and might let my parents just keep it. I need the excercise anyway as I have been somewhat lazy recently :P

Not from just being in Hollywood. Famous people I meet are generally through my school or my dad.
I did see the dude from George of the Jungle at a gas station once though and I have run into Abby from NCIS a few times.

Ike put the house on fire.
