Building A Computer. Yay.

The holiday times are upon us, and with money gained from Christmas plus what I have now, I'll hopefully be able to build a computer. Here are the parts I plan to be using:

Cooler Master HAF 922 Case
Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 Motherboard
Intel Core i5-750 Quad Core Processor 2.66 GHz
G.SKILL Ripjaws 4GB DDR3 RAM
2x Seagate Barracuda 500GB Hard Drive
PNY VCGGTS4501XPB GeForce GTS 450 Graphics Card
LITE-ON DVD Writer w/Lightscribe
And a modular PSU which I haven't decided on yet.

You should go with a cheaper motherboard. The only reason to spend that much is for overclocking. You won't get any better performance out of it then you would with a $100 board. And why get two 500gb? Just get a 1tb. I might aswell mention that 500gb is pretty ample on it's own. Use the money to get a better graphics card.

If you know for a fact that you're not going to be using 1 TB of space, just get one hard drive. Plus, get a cheaper motherboard, then use the money you saved towards a better GPU.

I have a 1.5 TB hard drive, I haven't even used 200 GB yet, plus the motherboard is only good for overclocking, like what Righteous said. With stock cooling, you won't be doing any overclocking anyway.

If you you shaved off one of your harddrives you could get the GTX 460 which is quite a bit better.

By the looks of it, you want a gaming computer. Get the AMD Black Edition 965 X4 quad core processor. The AMD cores are great for gaming and easy to overclock.

Fine, I'll say, but it will undoubtedly make everyone mad: I want to use one drive for Windows 7, and the other as a Hackintosh drive with Mac OS X Snow Leopard.

Just use the hard drive you already have to do that then. Getting a good video card is a much better idea than playing around with a buggy Mac OS X. Does OS X even support the GTS 450?

Alright, I suppose I'll just use Windows 7. It will be difficult to get used to though, considering I've been using OS X for 3 years now.
