Your mother is a poor excuse for a Christian, IMO. As a Baptist Christian, It only makes sense to me to take into account common sense when dealing wih the real world. Just because something is called Trance does not mean it is evil. Levitation is not evil. Jesus used levitation when ascending to heaven. It's not technically witchcraft/evil unless it is being used for evil purposes or is not endowed by the creator upon the individual.
