Also, be grateful you have a mother who cares about you. She just wants what's best for you at this point.
I disagree. She's promoting a very strict form of paranoia on her child. And, while doing so, she isn't caring for him as much as she is caring for the religious views.
From the scenerio he provided, I'm almost frightened by how incredibly dangerous people like this turn out to be. Their faith creates such a false sense of reality to where they may become a danger to themselves and everyone who interacts with them. Refer back to the murders commited for the rebellion against specific faiths in the catholic church some time ago, or, better yet, jehovah's witnesses in general. These actions were, and are caused by the same basic factors presented here.
