Author Topic: Dim model colors  (Read 1133 times)

Can't explain it any better. The colors on my model are dim. The colors are assigned to the model with 16x16 single color textures. I use Blender.

Did you mess up your lighting in blender?

(BTW, are you going to make the third ammo Crate, or can I do that?)

Make the texture colors brighter with something like paint.net, gimp or Photoshop.
Or make the colors look more juicy.

How does the lighting in Blender affect what the item is going to look in Blockland? I though you weren't supposed to have lights when you're exporting.

Try making a cube and joining it with your model via ctrl+j, then deleting the cube verts.

It's apparently caused by scaling in object mode.

I mean for the material you were using on the model.
Not the lights themselves.

What? You mean the material colors themselves are too dark? They aren't.

Thanks, that did it.

Ugh. It appears to work very randomly. Any other tricks?

No; but one thing you need to make sure of: The order.

Spawn the cube FIRST

Select your model

THEN select the cube and hit ctrl+j

Go into edit mode and delete the cube

When you select the cube first, it doesnt work.

Oh. That worked. Thanks. Why does it have to be so specific. =/
