We try to talk back as much as we can, trust me. She doesn't insult us unless she is angry, which is usually after she's talked to dad.

In this situation they can't call child services, suggesting it is just stupid. The are living in a safe environment and have a parent that is taking care of them, you expect them to call the cops and be like "my moms a bitch and spends all our money"?

lol, she used to be really kind. whenever I see the pictures of us still as a family when I was a little kid, I get sad, knowing that may never happen again.

That's touching. No joke. That actually got to me. I guess since I'm 17 and while I still have a pretty good relationship with my parents I've naturally strayed away as most teens my age do. When I see pictures of when I was younger its give me that same feeling that it won't happen again. I can relate to the feeling you have.

Funny thing she said she was going to divorce us, but 5 years have pasted...No progress. I've also heard that whoever is divorcing usually gets custody of the kids...

I'm not exactly sure of the legal procedure involved with divorce. I've always assumed the parents fight in court for custody. I would assume your dad would receive custody though considered your mom has no job and I doubt the judge will release two kids to a parent with no job.

No, but if you did call the police, you should descibe the abusive things she is doing to the family.

Pretty much, but I would think the judge would rule in favor of a parent who wouldn't let their children starve while they're out getting drunk and earning child support.

I'm not sure exactly how it goes, but when my aunt got divorced both her and my uncle had jobs. But they gave my aunt full custody.

On a lighter note, if dad wins our custody, we might get to be happy again, because he's working with a few other people on this machine that burns things without creating harmful gasses. He just needs to find a company that has trash made daily, like a chain of nursing homes, so he can burn their trash and get monies :o
