Author Topic: WRTray.exe - Um, what is this?  (Read 3805 times)

I started up my computer about 10 minutes ago and Windows wanted to run CHKDSK (Check Disk) but I denied it.
After the computer started up, I got this error:

(sorry for page stretch)

I searched google, but I cannot find out what the forget this means.

I immediatly went into the C:\ and tried to look for WRTray.exe but it wasnt there.
What the forget is going on and how do I fix this?

Let its run a Check Disk.
It's probably just a windows file.

Honestly this is the first time I have seen this so I'd scan my computer first as an obvious. If you really can't resolve the issue, back up the stuff you want on a flashdrive or something then format your hard drive.

But I'd wait and see if anyone else knows about this before doing what I stated.

I dont want to forget anything up right now, but ill take a gamble.
Im getting a new computer anyways so what am I really losing?

It's not a virus, just some non-vital windows file got corrupted. It happens. Run a Check Disk.

I thought it was like WinAmp thing... but that's WA... I get that, too, but whenever I turn on my computer I use Task Manager to clear all the stuff processes I can't identify.

Its some corrupted sys32 crap.
Scanning is almost done.

Lol, somebody deleted system32.

No but seriously, how the hell did you corrupt sys32?

True but honestly I still don't see how you can do that unless you have malware or something.
