Author Topic: Time Squad: Every Poe Has a Silver Lining - Found it!  (Read 2985 times)

We started reading The Masquerade of the Red Death yesterday in English class, and the teacher was constantly making mistakes, misreading words, and adding words. Today, he did not enforce at all to read the rest because it was the last day before the break.

But I opened to it and read it through. Although many words were confusing, the ideas portrayed in it was insanely gratifying. I even went as far as to check the glossary and find a poem by him also on the book.

But on topic: My first introduction to him was in watching the show Time Squad back in 2001. I had actually completely forgotten the name and such of the show, but I put in "Edgar Allan Poe Cartoon Network" in Google and up it came. I wish to see that episode again, but... it's basically missing. Youtube doesn't seem to have it, and no where has realistic downloads of it.

Help? :panda:

Edit: Here's an animation somebody made to accompany a reading of a poem done in the episode. The contrast to the real Poe is hilarious:

Edit2: And here's a Time Squad advertisement from the show itself, shadowing a different art style to contrast the actual characters of the show:

He was singing Yankee Doodle Boy. No wonder I love that song!

Come on, I know most of you are like 12 years old, but there must be SOME older members who remember this show.

I thought the title was Time Squad.

I certainly do.

Damn, thanks for pointing that out.

I certainly do.

Well, any ideas? I forgot how much I loved that show... And watching those little clips of it I've been able to find make me feel like... nostalgia...

I'm 13 and I remember this show.
T'was hilarious. Unfortunately, I can't remember the titles of any episodes. I remember that one episode where every member of the U.S. government decided to strut around completely naked.

Damn dude, you were only like 4-6 when the show aired... I actually completely forgot the name, as I mentioned. I used Wikipedia to get the episode name... But dang.

I actually have still remembered the name of the show even before this thread.
Then there were other episodes, like the one where they found that Blackbeard had abandoned being a pirate for running a zoo. I didn't get to see that whole one though.

My memory of the show is pretty fuzzy. Barely remember anything, but once I see a scene of it online, it comes to me like "Oh God that part was soooo funny. :D" I need to find it on DVD or something...

I actually found a two part video of the episode on YouTube, but it no longer exists because the account associated was terminated for copyright.

Well ya, the episodes were always in two parts, and I'm only really asking for the first part of one... Dang...

i remember the show and i'm only 13

Dang dude... dang... Well, there's DVD releases on some site, but it seems unofficial and likely a scam. Apparently, the show didn't do near well enough for any DVD releases, so... anything I find would be TV recording.
