Author Topic: Sound editing?  (Read 569 times)

I was wondering, how in depth can you go when editing sounds. I know you can add in sound effects and stuff, but can you take things out as well? Lets say I have a clip of someone playing an instrument, and in the background someone else yells out "hi! my name is bob!", would it be possible to remove that without damaging the quality of the "song"?

Probably, but it would be pretty hard.

Try audacity's voice remover plugin, works a treat for me.

That was only an example. What I really want to do is remove this annoying background effect that occurs about every 20 seconds in a song. It's like a cricket chirp sound and it drives me insane because of how much it ruins it.

Should still work, it gives you the option of removing certain sound frequencies.
What song anyways? :o

Does anyone think they could do this for me? I have no experience sound editing besides looping songs for blockland.

I would if my audacity wasn't broke D:

I can give it a try, file plox.

A sound editing professional could probably do it.
