Moving to new computer.

Okay, basic rundown: My computer has gone whacky, and was shutdown. Today, I got a new computer, and my old one started to work again ironically. So I'm moving my stuff to the new one, and I'm wondering if I can save my stuff to somewhere where I can drag my files off it and put it in my new computer. Someone told me to backup them, but I cant. What do I do?

Go on new computer, make a folder, right click: Sharing and Security
"Share this folder on the network"
and
"Allow network users to change my files"
Not sure how that would work on newer operating systems, this is how XP does it.

Now on the old one:
XP: Type "My Network Places" into the address bar,
Vista/7: Type "Network" into the explorer's address bar,

click on the shared folder, and drag stuff into it. Both computers must be on and connected to the network.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. My dad took some sort of storing device and we started to copy all of the files (Saves, Addons, config, key, Base, screenshots, Etc.) to it. We're planning of copying those files and pasting them in the new blockland folder on my new computer after I redownload the game. Will that work?

you may have to reenter your key, i think badspot said somewhere or somebody else did that the key.dat file only works with the computer that the key was entered on

no, you must reenter the key, as when the key is used, it creates a file with parts of the computer on it, so that somebody can't put it on a flash drive and take it to their computer, as they'd need your computer to run it
