Author Topic: I cut my arm...  (Read 4599 times)

With an x-acto knife. I dropped it and tried to catch it. I was too quick and the knife became pinned between my side and forearm... the blade going into my forearm. It's about a half inch deep and a centimeter wide. This happened to me Saturday night.

It's being held together with "butterfly" strips, but it's still bleeding a bit. Would it be okay to work tonight? I stock and straighten items at Dollar General. I called in yesterday because it was bleeding quite a bit, but I was told (by friends) I should stay out today also.

I don't know what to do...

Edit: I honestly didn't realize I posted this in creativity. Can someone move it?

You shouldn't have been handling the knife in the first place.

Uhhh... Wrong topic?

Anyways that sounds painful.

You shouldn't have been handling the knife in the first place.

Get the forget out.

Wow so creative.

On-Topic: If it's hurting and it's bleeding I suggest you don't go to work. You don't want to get blood on the items.

How creative.

I say stay home since your friends suggest that you should, and for God's sake, when you drop a knife you should run, not try to catch it!

It was a reflex. When I work, I drop tons of things. I've built a pretty strong catch reflex.

Well, it's your own choice, you shouldn't have to ask us, but if you start crying when you move your arm, don't go to work. But if your arm hurts all the time, or it doesn't hurt at all, why not go?

It doesn't hurt, but it hasn't clotted.

Sometimes your own creations turn against you
