Author Topic: cable bridges  (Read 2278 times)

i made these Bridges in 25 minuets

What's an "armered van?"
FIRST GODDAMNED POST. THERE, I SAID IT. FLAME ON.

These are actually pretty nice.

And it's spelled Armored. Not Armer, Armor.

It needs support under the middle. The cables don't support themselves. Not too bad otherwise, for a quick build, but you should find a better place to build a bridge, without such a difference in height.

the cables can lift themselves in the same way a cat can lift itself by biting its tail

That's one stupid cat you got there

..... so if i pull my leg up i can fly?.... HOLY stuff IT WORKS!

:D!

Basically what eksi said , it would be the best if you used a map like shelves , with 2 platforms at the same height.
Also , the support towers are best with 2 , one on both sides of the bridge , whee the ground stops.
Then make the cables go back on the road on the ground too.
That was you do not need towers touching the ground below the suspended area.

No demo counter. The building would be good for demo.
But for a full-game owner I find it pretty stuffty. You could try to make a bigger bridge with eventually more detail. Like in the Bedroom map from the bed to the- ok that's pretty stupid.

But yeah for a full-game build it's not much of quality.

Meh, it's okay I guess. I get the feeling you just looked at the golden gate bridge save and thought you could build your own.

It's the same bridge twice. Just the second one doesn't have a sign

His name and the sign are spelled wrong.

I don't understand why an armo(u)red van would not be able to cross a bridge =/. Surely it should say "Max load X tonnes" or something.

It's ok overall, but not great for 25 minutes work.
