Gravity isn't an unstoppable force...

God could be seeing the current timeline. If anything changes, a new timeline branches off. :D

he would be aware of all timelines and which timeline is "correct".

Damnit Wizzeh beat me to it :c

Even if there were multiple paths we could take, he'd still know which we would take.

the first statement is also true. an unstoppable force would have to have infinite energy and an immovable object would have to negate any energy applied to it.
He mean't as in like this...

The next statement I say is true. The previous statement I said was false.

He wasn't referring the OP. I think.

yeah, that's what I ment, making a paradox or something

As for the second one, just because he knows the future, that doesn't mean free will doesn't exist.
and for other similar statements...

If God knew the outcome of all decisions and the future in general, then that would mean the future must be predefined and would therefore make free will impossible. Would it not?

Lets take an unstoppable force, Gravity.
Gravity is not unstoppable.

Compared to electromagnetism, it's actually quite weak.

lol Yes it is.  You don't get it?

I get it, it's just not a paradox.

The statement "Everything I say is a lie" can't be true, because it would contradict itself, so it has to be not true. "Everything I say is not a lie" is not the same thing as "Everything I say is the truth". It's not self-contradicting. The validity of everything you say can not be determined from the one statement.

But if it can't be true than he is lying by saying "Everything I say is a lie".

MINDforget???

The statement "Everything I say is a lie" is no different than saying "I am a liar". If you're lying about that, then we can only determine that that one statement is a lie. It does not speak for everything you say.

It would contradict itself only if it were true, but it's not, as explained in the rest of the post.

Everything I say is a lie
If I am telling a lie, that means I am telling the truth.  If I am telling the truth, it's a lie.

Everything I say is a lie
If I am telling a lie, that means I am telling the truth.  If I am telling the truth, it's a lie.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I think the original paradox was more like, "This statement is a lie" or in the second example, "I am lying". I think those are called self-referencing. Another I just found that was "A Cretan says, 'All Cretan's are liars'".

If an unstoppable force hits an immoveable object, what would happen?

If god knows the future, how does free will exist?

PS the second question is not meant to insult he catholic religion.

Trololol first one was from WoW... I think.
