use the poll above to show...

Thanks !

Definitely Blender. It takes a while to get used to the interface and the various bugs since it's still at beta. Just save often and you'll do fine.

I recommend Milkshape3D because it is much easier to learn than Blender. There are many basic features as well as advanced ones when you master the former. If you are just starting out, try the trial version of it for thirty days. If you like it, great, if you don't, switch to blender now that you know some off the modeling basics.

In my opinion Milkshape is harder to learn than Blender. I can't figure it out. It's too simple.

ugh, What?

A lot of people like Wings 3D, but it requires you have blender 2.49 and the Torque DTS exporter.

Blender for the win.
Uses quads instead of tri's, thus reducing polygon count, program is mostly for animation, and other great features.

I'm pretty sure quads and Blockland don't mix. Tris are better.

I make the actual model in Wings 3D, then I export the model to .obj.  I import the .obj file in Milkshape 3D, then I color the model and add joints.  Then I export to .dts, which is built in to Milkshape 3D.

I just found out that there is an .obj importer/exporter for blender.
Win.

It's default.

Yes, use tri's, Quads greatly limit modeling.
If you use Milkshape (Im not sure of this for Blender)  It automatically divides the cubes into Fractals.

Are you loving handicapped? No modelling program ever made has only used quads, you have the option. Modelling with quads is easier and less of a loving hassle.

Oh my forget who did you hear this from?
