I did use a reference, but I think it turned out better than I expected. Drawing isn't really my thing, but I had to draw something for an exhibition in art class so I did this.

It's not quite finished yet, I need to 1) determine what the light source behind the soldier is, and 2) figure out how to draw it in a good way.
