If it makes you feel better I actually did set up a rough pose and lighting in SFM and used the render as a reference. I didn't paint, trace, or draw over it though! That would be cheating. :P

I don't know, I base snout lengths on the actual animal, if I made it shorter it just feels too cartoony and eeh

then again this is a picture of a loving dog with glasses so yeah
