Testing my shading skills.
I think the shape looks a little clumpy.

Well, I only use one tool, the airbrush, but I changed the settings slightly, so it's less fuzzy and looks more like a brush without the blending and such. I never use blending tools, I just build up the shading with brush with each stroke by pressing down lightly with my pen. If you'd like, I can give you the settings for the brush I use;

But if it's the shading process that stumps you, the shading color isn't just darker than the base color but sometimes it's more saturated and sometimes the hue is changed. It's hard to explain.

But basically, that's how I shade skin.

I can show you how I do hair if you'd like.


What program is this?
Is it mouse friendly?

Sai. It's not super mouse friendly, but if you can deal with it on other programs sai might be a bit better.
