Your contrasting is awful.
Stop making the second shade of the colour you're using so dark, it blends with the outline and makes it worse.

I see what you mean. But however, it's hard to notice there's even a shadow there if i make it not that dark, but i'll try it anyways. Thanks.

Tried small outlines. It looks like balls. Literally.

Can you not grasp the concept of lighting? In case you haven't noticed, the shadows goes on the other side of where the light strikes.

It's supposed to be viewed in a 3 dimensional way. The light is shining on him, casting a shadow behind him. The button is supposed to be floating for some reason, hence why there is no wall shadow.

The steam and the shadow morphed together and it looked weird. Oh god i can't believe i'm talking about piss.
