i have also considered painting. the only painting i actually did and had for a while was "taco dude", which i made when i was like 5. it has a tap dancing, angry taco on it and it says "tonight at 8" or some stuff on it, i know for a fact it says "cheesy" somewhere
I'm horrid at painting. I always rip the paper because I layer too much. Did you ever get your stuff put on the fridge though? B^)

I dig it but I think you should use a smaller brush instead of just the same brush.
I'm saying it is a great looking piece of fine art and that the edits people (Mind you ONE) made aren't bad. The first comment in reply to his art isWhich is positive reinforcement. And the criticism? There, bang. A lot of people have issues with his eyes, and his response is "Yeah I do go crazy over it a bit, I could always change their size." Where were you to provide criticism? Don't tell me that I don't, because I know I don't, but I'm not arguing that there is no criticism whatsoever. May I remind you that you are one of the people who have also had pages of arguements with your own art and other peoples art, which would flood other peoples art, to be swashed away by "whether or not posting ponies is fine" and you're calling me and others ridiculous. Please don't take me the wrong way when I say this, this is YOUR topic and I do like the works you do, but maybe you aren't the best person to knight it up.

No ones perfect and by no means am I anywhere near okay. The stuff I've done in the past makes me cringe a little, but the basis of the arguments I still hold. I wasn't referencing that everyone was an starfish, probably should have reinforced that, but certainly people like Reson with Blouk's art, and Taboo... in general... need to learn what it means to be a helpful individual. You see, if someone doesn't like that persons art, the general response is somewhere along the lines of "it sucks", which would imply they want the person not to suck. How do they do this??? Idunnomaybe if they attributed to forwarding their skill trough insightful criticism that will positively reinforce the artist and, in the end, make the insulter less prone to insult.

I made something where I just scribbled everywhere and its funny because now that's the art I'm interested in, anyways it didn't get put on the fridge, it got framed though. And the Taco Dude was on a full canvas so I had to keep it in my room. I don't know what the hell happened to it.

Iunno Shadow I can't agree with that because you're saying that the criticism that is there isn't insightful? I interpreted it as "I think you should work on proportions with your body, starting with the eyes, since they're a bit out there. I love your coloring and linework, it's really great, so keep improving upon those strengths."

And with some other quotes from the next pages, it would generally sound like "I don't really like Blouk's work. I feel like it's too forcibly cutesy in its manner. As others have said the eyes still bother me. Your style is a bit overdone as well, perhaps toning it down a notch would help out. I don't understand why you put them down, though. I didn't think they were horrid, I just think some more work can help out."

That's some constructive criticism when interpreted as so. Unless it still isn't to you. If Blouk left them up also it'd help because after he put them down I've been having to reference to the edit and then imagine the edit not there.

I wasn't referencing that everyone was an starfish, probably should have reinforced that,

I wasn't taking off of that inference I was just saying I believe there was enough criticism that he could hold. Oh well I think only Blouk's say can resolve the whole edit criticism thing, it's truly if he thinks he learned from the criticism or something, I apologize in advance. We could always take it to PMs but I think we've both said what we wanted to and not much else to say. Also my keyboard is covered in mucus because I have had a cold this entire day and I didn't stop typing to blow my nose ewww it's all over the space keys ;-;

PM privs revoked so there's that. ツ

You want critCIAm?
I'll give you some critisizm.

*epic inhale*

The artwork is very lovely, especially the way you cellshade.
But I think the pupils could be toned down, as well as more fine details to the eyes.
I also think you should experiment with the fur a little, as in ass a few more details and side-view eye proportions.
Also the heads could be a little smaller, but that's just my opinion.
Another thing is that little arch in your eye reflection, maybe it could be turned upside-down or given a different slope/look?

Overall, great art.  But I think you should take these things into consideration and actually try to improve, instead of drowning in self-pity.
