i can't help but inwardly feel angry when I read this

Towards Blouk yes. I agree with Camera, my rant about useful criticism means stuff if the artist won't use it.

"A bloo bloo bloo people give criticism now and I'm not perfect therefore I'll never do art ever again"
You're not gonna get anywhere unless you keep trying. If you keep trying, you forget up. And so does everybody else.
Nobody became a great artist without experimentation. Either you pick up the pencil and you keep drawing, or you don't, but don't go out and say "I can't get better" because that's bullstuff. Drawing is an acquired skill just like everything else.

"A ßlöü ßlöü ßlöü"*

:)

self-deprecation is the road to being a stuff artist!

i must be the stufftiest artist ever

Towards Blouk yes. I agree with Camera, my rant about useful criticism means stuff if the artist won't use it.

it's not towards blouk at all
while it's true that useful criticism means nothing if the artist doesn't take it into account, I just remember that one drawing Blouk posted and Camera's like "that doesn't even count for chibi THIS is chibi *insert drawing that is pretty similar to blouk's*"

i mean the only reason that I feel that way is because I apparently like to remember a lot of dumb stuff that I have no reason to

It's because I can`t

oh come on, saying that is no good

Most of that is just me trying to understand what he's trying to do. I jokingly posted.

oh come on, saying that is no good
Yeah, even I'm not saying you should stop posting. I'm saying that you are beating yourself up too much after being praised by people with softer hearts. Being sour is just seems like you're trying to soak up sympathy, pathetically.

asdf, it's hard for me to say these without consciously planning if it's going to attract "shutting the forget up" :YY

oh come on, saying that is no good
Well I don't know what else to say
Being sour is just seems like you're trying to soak up sympathy, pathetically.
No, I actually think I'm incapable of improving

what ever phase of artistic depression you're putting yourself through right now, blouk, you're going to feel ridiculous for having posted it a couple of weeks from now (or even tomorrow), i guarantee it.

No, I actually think I'm incapable of improving
i'm think that's simply pessimism talking. you need yourself a decent inspiration, like to reignite yourself or something.

edit:
ok nevermind this post sucks read that one

The way you phrase it however makes it seem like Camera was being more playful to atone to that of what Blouk posted.

Refusal to continue forth upon your quest to better oneself's ability is a fallacy in the mind and future. I mean I used to draw like this, and I even had Photoshop to use instead of Paint.Net.

Although the last two are still cute to me I feel like I did improve from before. I remember fondly that Kheyre told me clearly "That chin stuff you keep using on your characters is ugly, tumorlike." And I took his advice for the better. And if you constantly tell yourself I'm not going to draw, I can't get better because I refuse to, you're just going to worsen how you act when you're older if you keep that mantra. You were posting things like "I have no friends, I don't want to post pictures of myself because I'm ugly, you are all too critical and you keep stuffting on my work." and it makes you look like a baby. It's kinda gross, because your brother does adhere to advice. Yeah, you said "Hmm I could always change the size of the eyes on my characters" but then you never did because you thought you couldn't do it since, I don't know why. I don't know why you're refusing to become better we're all here for you. Look, if you don't believe that criticism can get you better, look at this. These are ones I'm most ashamed of.

Yeah, I used to have a Sonic OC of sorts because I was a weirdo but no one really pointed it out. People were grossed out. And I stopped. But not because I took self pity, it's because I thought I could do better than that. And if you stopped whining and had a mindset of bettering yourself then maybe that'll make you better as well. But hell people don't even think you do terrible. Your coloring is superb and your linework is really consistent. What we're all saying is that you haven't changed the way you draw, just how good you draw them So stop this charade, don't make all these images go in vain.

*happy tears*

this is why you're one of my favorite people on these forums

Following up on Flame,

I have expressed applause for Blouk's ability to shade and color well. Drawing lines is difficult even for me. (I really suck at digital art lol)

To prove my point! This has become that through rigoruous traning and confidence in one's ability to do better.

Well okay, bad example as femaremac was never meant to exist. Soo:

You just have to WANT to get better essentially.
