she's not my character but draw katia managan

the creator likes and encourages fan art (there's even a section for it on the comic's website) so it's totally ok to do it. plus then you could upload it to the fan art page and that would be like way cool!!

I'M WAY TOO JIVE

Last time I drew Misha Mansoor of Periphery it was terrible. Hopefully this didn't turn out bad.

Looks great. I think you got the guitar scaled correctly too.

I've been designing my own guitars for about a month now. I guess all the practice came in handy. (I should post some too, but tomorrow)

honestly, i dont know why you guys want to improve in "art" at all. no matter how good you get you'll still think you're stuff. because the truth is you're always going to do stuff and the people who actually dont draw like stuff think they draw stuff. and the people who dont think they draw stuff, draw like stuff

drawing is stuff and life is stuff forget art

i swear im only half serious, which is actually pretty bullstuff
You're older than me, therefore you should understand through more life experience that not everything will reach an expectations, and if you raise your expectations too high or low you'll depress yourself of what could've been. However I am completely happy knowing that I am taking the strides and steps that I feel like I need until I feel overly comfortable where I'm at. That's when I raise my expectations higher again so I can become better. I talked to Squideey the other day about pessimism and optimism, and I believe that life is better spend optimistic. Although when you may be disappointed when something doesn't come out the way you'd wanted, perhaps it was better that way because you are still striving for a better thing in that mindset. Therefore you may think your art is bad now, however you'll always feel like there's something in the past that you gotta beat, you gotta pass.

For those whom weren't aware, which is like everyone, this is what dear LolBurt sent me.
how is it that others' drawings get a lot of feedback and I hardly get any? i mean, i get so hyped for something i did which im actually proud of yet no one seems to think its worth commenting on. it forgets up my self esteem and motivation, really. god man, i hardly ever want to draw because of that.

w/e
i dont need comments, i just need the logic behind why i aint getting any. besides, no need to post anything anymore anyways. id rather just say forget it and find something else to occupy my time

peace bro
Now I don't know if it's a personal thing going on in real life maybe someone was paid to take a dump in your sink or something, but you have no reason to think this way. LolBurt PM'd me this after a piece he was really happy about did not receive the commemoration he thought it deserved, and my reply was something like "I also believe in the idea of silent admiration. If you really want comments, ask for them." I understand a comment means "hey, you recognized me," but from the stuff you make I think this statement of no one caring about your stuff is a huge lie, I'm fairly certain in this forum of a humble uhh 2000 or so active, there are many whom appreciate the works you produce, me included. I really dig that Pirate Yoshimitsu European Guy, along with Bubble Angel and the works. Hell my avatar have been the drawings of my characters you drew back then, and that just dug deep into me. I think you should be able to appreciate what you think up of since it's you, and you shouldn't have to demean yourself like that. Your characters are really a part of you, because you feel like you made a connection with them, enough to try to give personality to them.

Okay so recently some stuff I did in Art class was put up in a gallery for a showcase in a different school and I didn't even know. My teacher said "Yeah there were a lot of people eyeing our school's art, yours included." I mean yeah that could be taken in a bad way but I perceived it as quote unquote quote silent admiration. I don't have to know what people think, as long as there is at least a single person in the world whom had seen it, I'd be happy. I don't care for my things to be immoralized upon a wall of a museum or showcased in a book. That's fine and dandy but for the remaining 80 or 70 so years in my life I just care if there was someone who took the time to look at something I did, even for a split second, I think my mantra for life is "to make others happy or pleased." And that's because I feel like I had finished it because at the time I was proud of it. You could of course look back and say "Jesus Christ why are there 7 fingers on this one hand" but at least in one point in your life you thought "hey this is alright" even an "yeah i guess" is okay. Maybe you don't wanna be better. Maybe you'd rather just stay the same old stick. Fine then. However I feel that I'd never truly be able to enjoy another piece from you because I'd know you never truly put enough effort into it. Same goes for Blouk as he's been avoiding posting here ever since.

bert you are a damn good artist

i've had my pictures skimped out of getting a compliment or two, but that's not important. you have a body of work- you're always giving us quality content. if you keep on saying this stupid stuff i'm gonna be real upset man cus' you got talent
