It's not for certain yet where the lighting exactly is, I think he'll have to wait until the drawing is done and then redo the lighting. I mean it's true that sometimes you think of a lighting source but then you realize that sometimes there are other light sources that could make it look better and to be honest if I were Blouk I'd wait until the thing was finished until I added in lighting.

you need to stay dedicated to your work and finish it instead of trashing it
any good artist can turn ANYTHING into something amazing.
you can do it too blouk, you just have to believe and tell yourself it will look good.

tbh I really like the flat shading version, but that might just be me since I like drawing in that style.

ive saved a few pictures from this thread and that image is one of them

Edit: also on the smooth shading version, I understand completely what you were doing for with the lights in the reflections and you could easily fix it yourself as long as you're willing to see what's wrong instead of quitting
