However, it also gives an interesting look to a piece if done well.
indeed so.

Guys, I need help.
Every face I make looks like it was smashed in with a brick. "Real" faces and cartoony ones alike.

;~;
pageloss because I need help with this.
any tips or tricks you guys have?

Uh
Unfortunately, no. I just draw enough so that occasionally I get good looking faces. I don't have much of a technique.
Try to look at a person's face as a flat image and not a three dimensional model.

Draw a circle and then put eyes near the center horizontal line and then a bit up some.

Can't draw faces at all.
If you handed me a piece of paper and told me to draw this shape (even if it looked like a face), I'd draw it A++.
But once you tell me it's A face my pencil splits in half, explodes, disintegrates, and then obliterates itself into nothing.

Drawing on a tiny tablet while owning a 1080p monitor and you can't see what you write on the table, just the cursor moving, and it's a $30 worth tablet...

Yes, it kinda destroys my crap.

I do way better/well on real life with pen or pencil, but either way, when is necessary. I still like the jagged lines style more.
Eventually, lineart, but I have not yet got the hand of Autodesk SketchBook, InkScape or stuff like that.

It looks good, but either the arms are too skinny in comparison to his legs or his legs are too thick in comparison to his arms

The lower body seems to large for the upper body, mostly the connection at the torso.
