Personally I like the uncolored more.

Colour looks good.

I would add some sharp reds or browns to the darker areas to add some cool-contrast with the lighting.

Good idea.

Guys, I need help.
Every face I make looks like it was smashed in with a brick. "Real" faces and cartoony ones alike.

;~;

I've heard several of my art teachers coin that. I didn't make it up, they did. It's also fairly accurate of a description so there really is no problem calling it so. Calm yo tits.

No where in my post did I say I was angry. Just stating that you made it up and I'm trying to stop you from misleading others by saying,"It's called hatchet drawing."

Guys, you know what you call putting on your glasses? It's called the "Glasses Maneuver 01"

Please...

No, this is not the first time this term was used. I also like it, as it's sorta like hacking away at a line over and over until satisfied. It's a term that I use, and is not as misleading as you make it seem.
Besides, what the hell do you call it

the real term is hatching and/or crosshatching guys

I thought crosshatching was a shading technique.

i am pretty sure tom was refering to hatching and crosshatching because i dont even know what hatchet drawing is.

unless i draw a hatchet then yeah. rerunning over a line several times can either be because you want to add depth, you made a mistake and want to fix it so it looks a bit more normal, or just because you want to, im pretty sure that doesn't really constitute for a term.

He was referring to being unable to draw a smooth line, having to make a bunch of lines. Over
And over
And over
And over and over and over and HJAGJKGSDJKHA-

A serious medical condition

However, it also gives an interesting look to a piece if done well.
