Drew a pokeball today in class:

Odd thing is, my school had an assembly where they played the pokemon theme.

Some dragon have external ears.

reptiles have external ears quite often

no reptiles have ears such as the ones in his image, some don't even have visible ears
for example snakes

so dragons shouldn't either
also amphibians too, so amphibious dragons, if they even exist, are not exempt

then again I am talking about fiction
but still they are reptiles

I got confused when you said this while proving that most of them have internal ears, which is true.

Dragon ears are holes on each side of their heads, usually hidden by their "ear" which is actually just a horn/frill.

they're not frills either
they are clearly canine or vulpine or some other mammal ears
