your femme bodies lack developed hips. Increase the width of the hips and compensate by increasing the width of the upper torso as well.
yeah i know.

Just give me a bit and i'll get it eventually.

Also, feathers are more fun to draw than fur.

i like Vincent's art, could use work though.

i need to get better at posing

yeah i know.

Another thing to look out for is the slightly protrusive stomachs you end up with

If that's your actual room I'm very jealous
i loving wish
i finished the coloring and shading at school but i am not on my computer right now so

Here's the huge rundown everyone thinks, I think

I think that your characters are a bit too thin. The arms, especially, are a bit small in width. Now, realism shouldn't be a huge factor in drawing things (HELL HUMAN BIRDS DONT EXIST), however I still think the structure of the body needs work. An easy way to start grasping a human structure is to find a position that is extremely easy to draw. A lot of your art consists of the person looking to the right, or their left. This can be a start of where you can figure out what looks good. If you're going for a not so realistic approach to the body, then instead try to define a line between the two.

This area in question is what needs work:

Yellow: Over here could use more width.
Red: Sure, you can say that's the feathers, however it is very jagged nonetheless. You should get to work on figuring out how to make an initial straight line, then add the fur/feathers. This way the arm can be more prominent than the fur itself in shape.
Green: Hands are hard and you can learn the rest.
Blue: Like Tesla said the hips/stomach is not definitive. Sure, not every girl is perfect, however the hip here is very straight. It could use some rounding. Also, I'm not the one to say but breasts kinda slope downward at first then round at the bottom.

Thanks, i'll keep most of this in mind.

I'll throw some stuff out there while i'm at it. :)

First, this is literally the second gryhpon i've ever drawn and the waist feathers really messed with me so that kinda set me off there. But i am very aware of the fact that a lot of my characters have this problem.

I'd also like to point out this was drawn in 20-30 minutes in a skype call. It's definitely far from perfect.

I really wanted to try a smaller body type considering it is a bird and it needs to fly but the only good thing that came out of that was just a very skinny avian.

Her arm is also not feathers, her arms are what would be a bird's talons, i could see how that would confuse someone, it's kinda a style choice. Other than that you bring up very valid points.

Overall expect my next few gryphons to have a little bit more work put into them because i'm getting a little time every now and then to work on these things.

Thanks for the great feedback. :)

i think one of my problems is that i never spend enough time on drawing anything, i always just take a half hour - an hour and rush it
few reasons for that though
- i have a really short attention span, i always get bored or distracted fast
- im impatient
- i dont like drawing in "public" because then i get asked "hey what are you drawing" and idek how to explain half the things i draw without further confusion, and since my computer is in the livingroom(which almost always has at least 1 person in it), i have to wait for everyone to be busy with other stuff, which only gives me an hour or two to draw
(and then i spend like a half hour or more being distracted)
so
yeah
:c
excuse me i think i just met myself

I draw the best loving choo-choos around.
If I could figure out a way for my handicapped printer to scan stuff and save it I would show you guys my choo-choos.
I've drawn a 4-6-2, a 2-4-0 and a 4-8-2.

room

did a nice little test on how i'll position characters and what size i'll draw them in, along with just seeing how the ui looks on the drawing
(i don't know what's going on with the colors, PDN farted while it was saving)

Looks like something you can make in Renpy

i'm considering pooping it onto renpy after i've done it as a forum game for a little
