how does pony research relate to emotions other than "goddamn i feel like banging a horse today"

Holy stuff you cannot read can you. I never said anything about wanting to forget RD. I've said multiple times that I've had the image of that stuck in my head, and that drawing it helps me get it out of my head. It worked.

i'm sure there are better ways of doing that, eg, "looking at/drawing proper research"

That doesn't help. In fact, I find most MLP research distasteful.

Cute. Lucario is one of my favorite pokemon.

This a little gift I made for an awesome artist on DA:

The front legs/paws are too small/skinny, otherwise I'm quite happy with it.

Also, you guys are loving awesome at drawing, TeslCoil in particular.

robocario

Oh my god it actually looked robotic.

I'm so proud of myself. I sat in front of it for a good few minutes like "wtf does a robot leg look like, I've never drawn robots"

I knew it was a robot as well.

Also, the fur around the neck should be focused more towards the chest area. It looks sorta awkward where it is.

internet's been done for the past few hours because AT&T's a bunch of mondays, so i went ahead and did the lineart and flats for this in one go
coincidentally, the same painting method that i used for the carpet turned out to work pretty well for vague outdoor details, so i just went with it
it doesn't seem to clash with the style too much; it'll hopefully be better looking whenver i get around to final shading

You painted over the legs of the table...
