my architecture always gets maybe two or three responses at most  o3o
Speaking of which, I've been meaning to ask. Your drawings are cool and whatever, but if you want to do architectural designs, why not learn something like Blender or Hammer where the majority of the work can go into designing the space and then you can render/photograph it from whatever angle you'd like?

God, don't you guys hate it when your realistic portraits that you pour yourself into practicing get buried by cartoons and pony bullstuff?

hmm, wait.
It happens to everyone. And whether you think cartoons/other work is bullstuff or not I have to strongly disagree. The topic isn't going to be all about you.

Back to your portrait I'd like to share that he reminds me of King Koopa from the super mario brothers movie.

I didn't ask for the thread to be all about me, but it's damn frustrating when it seems like all that gets posted/acknowledged here is cartoon stuff and ponies. A simple "Hey Sirrus, nice drawing" is all it takes because goddamn it really sucks to be straight ignored.

i do work in blender (although that minimal amount of building modeling that i do is usually in sketchup or maya), but drawing like this is more of a matter of just being able to say "ye niga i drew that baby by hand," and i can also achieve anything i want in it easier (for example just drawing something in a position that i want vs having to actually figure out where it should be in a 3d space relative to the camera)
it's really just a matter of situational preference and convenience

I do portrait drawing myself as well. I just don't like to share them because they tend to be crappy. In regards to the stuff you post, I tend not to comment because I sometimes feel like I don't have a "right" too. Mainly because you exceed my level of detail in regards to human faces.

condescending artist
my drawings are of REAL things they are damp with ACTUALITY
CAN YOU SAY THE SAME?

nah ur cooler than that

Give Hammer a try if you haven't already. Some of the stuff is frustrating to work with but geometry is really, really easy to do once you become familiar with the program. Sketching is important, of course, but maybe like, spend a bit of time sketching to get some decent looking drawings and then try to model it/make it in hammer. No matter how nice a drawing is, it's really, -really- fantastic to be able to physically (well, computer physically) walk around in a space that was once confined to your imagination.

I appreciate that, I do.

i think i tried hammer in the most lethargic manner possible at some point because i was thinking about using it for blockland interior modeling but then the S&S update happened and i was just like "welp"
i'll probably get around to actually doing something in it though, yeah

Hey Sirrus
Nice drawing

However, it is not controversial, humorous, cute, or absolutely awful, and it is therefore not worth my time.

Great. Glad I could be as non confrontational as possible.

anything i say to this will end up being some short generic statement that's already been said about any of your other drawings, whether it be positive or not.

honestly, i didn't reply to this one because there's nothing but praise i can give for it.
it would take me a very long time to get as good at drawing faces as you are now, and if i give you some short compliment on your drawing, i doubt it would really matter to you because of how low of a status i have in this thread.

that is an absolutely excellent drawing and i'm ashamed i can't say much more about it! >:L

Those tires. I hear perspective sobbing in the corner. s'okay though, circles suck seriously suck to draw, esp. in perspective.

CHARCOAL.

That's astoundingly amazing.
Very nice work.

Any tips/critique would be helpful.

hmm, wait.

I posted a serious drawing I did that has a fair amount of detail put into it a while back, and it was ignored as well. But it's a drawing thread. Cartoons and pony drawings have just as much of a right to be here as cartoonist and realist artists have the right to be in the artist community together.

I think all of your portraits look ridiculous
