The definition of a furry requires two key details:

• 1) They must be "interested in fictional anthropomorphic animal characters with human personalities and characteristics." Be it loveually or simply because the premise is "cool".
• 2) They must be interested in building relationships with other furries and be an active part of their community in general.

(It is also important that the individual considers themself as a "furry" as this will nullify the neccessity to fulfill both of these conditions.)

This is relating to the fandom aspect, if they fail one of these tests, they are not really a furry.

Otherwise to be furry is simply to be:

• 1) Covered with fur.
• 2) Having a soft surface like fur.

I would not really categorize dragons as furries either, nor would I really consider Camera one. But those are just my opinions.

well yeah, scalie was made-up as a word specifically because you couldn't categorize things with scales as things with fur.

I just use "anthro" so I don't have to distinguish between "furry" and "scalie" and "feathery" and whatever other terms there are

i always figured the interest in anthros spurned maybe from all the anthropamorphic animals on cartoons, as mascots, etc.

I'll be honest when I say I don't understand my desire to draw anthros either. I usually stick to machines and things like that. Which I will be doing most of the time so you don't need to worry about the occasional anthro.

Anybody, I'm want to make cover art for a song I'm making and attempted to sketch out a character on which the song is based off of and yea

What happens when I try to draw with a mouse, and since for some reason I like lost all my drawing skills I'm kinda forgeted. So uh can somebody draw something similar to this, idc if done with a pencil or program. If you color it the hoodie is black and the eye lens must be green. I really want the gas mask very similar to the one in the stuffty sketch. Making it shadowy would be cool to. Oh here have something to set the mood

Close up, oh and It doesnt need to be super realistic, it can get away with some sketchy cartoonish stuff if you'd like.
