Anything I should try to get started with drawing?
http://ia600807.us.archive.org/29/items/loomis_FIGURE_draw/loomis_FIGURE_draw.pdfOne of Andrew Loomis' books. I don't look at it enough, myself, but it's a huge help. It's not a definitive guide but it definitely works and is still recommended and used by some/many. Use it to guide you/as reference and advice. That's just for human figures in particular, though. Loomis has also done 'Fun With a Pencil', and I highly recommend you look it up, 'cus it's good too. See it
here.
Like everyone else has said, draw every day. Never stop, ever. Don't go for a 'style' in the beginning, either-it won't help you in the least (or so I have heard). Before you start drawing in a style, it's good to go for things as they are. Draw what you're not good at, what you're afraid of drawing, etc. until it's good. Don't get satisfied with your art, and don't try to either. Draw from life, copy cheat n' steal (but not directly), etc. etc. Better work hard. I'm trying to do this, myself. It's nice to draw every day.
