Can someone like, point me to a few guides or even teach me how shading works?


This is still a WIP, obviously. It's lacking quite a few things; most notably: Shading.
I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it.

I'm starting to get it a bit now. I dunno, it just sorta 'clicked' all of a sudden.

Just pick a light source and shade the parts pointing directly to the light the lightest, and the ones pointing directly away from the light the darkest. I'm assuming you're going for directly above?

super lazy warmup doodly thing
i guess the white outline doesn't do much when like half of the background is white

you can tell that my mouse was being annoying when i tried to draw this, the lines are all shaky in some parts but oh well
