Or he could just have an advanced piece of technology inside him that pretty much powers him indefinitely. Like Tayas character Matt. He's got an infinitely spinning gear in his chest thats producing energy.

Or some sort of energy source that keeps recharging him, but if he uses too much, the device won't be able to keep up.
